Electronic Commerce
is the fastest growing sector of the world business community.
The Internet affects
every single industry. The increasing volume of transactions that
take place electronically is a revolution in business practices.
It is very important to understand how the unique elements of this
interactive medium can be used to devise new ways of competing.
Electronic Commerce includes all aspects of business processes enabled
by Internet technologies.
MVC faculty will teach
you what works and doesn't work. Learning modules provide up-to-date
information in the fast-paced/fast-changing world of electronic
commerce and include audio basics, video basics, computer network
design, network operational procedures, facility design, transmission
methods, and troubleshooting strategies.
Students will apply the
interdisciplinary aspects of eCommerce: systems development, customer
relationship management, product life-cycles, data warehousing,
knowledge management, value-added networking, organizational and
cultural complexities and changes, marketing, consumer behavior,
security and privacy concerns. Students will design eCommerce models
and analyze current and future trends in this emerging field.
